Surface water fees are charged yearly to to all properties in Kenmore based on King Counties Surface Water Design Manual. Single-family residential properties are charged a flat fee that is equal to very light (the lowest) impervious rating class. All other properties are charged based on the percentage of impervious surface coverage. Impervious surface areas are classified by consultants every few years. Years between getting new layers from consultants, City Staff compare current impervious classified layer with most recent imagery and trace newly added impervious surface.<\/SPAN><\/P> Calculating impervious area is done with most recent parcel layer from that year, which comes from King County and the impervious surface layer from 2023.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV>",
